Montalcino

The hometown of Brunello, the world-famous red wine, Montalcino is also an exceptionally beautiful historic city. It has remained virtually intact since the 16th century and boasts an imposing fortress, built in 1361, from whose bastions you can enjoy an amazing view. The Palazzo dei Priori, which houses the Town Hall and overlooks the Piazza del Popolo, the Churches of Sant’Agostino and Sant’Egidio, are just some of the marvels to attract visitors.

Montalcino is just a few minutes’ drive from Borgo Sant’Ambrogio, and is the ideal destination for trips into art, culture and history, as well as an international reference point for fine food and wine.
